At a time when the role of higher learning is under intense scrutiny, this is a fascinating exploration of the uncommon pedagogy of popular Religious Studies professor Dr. Norman Cornett, who drastically reinvented his teaching methodology to banish fear and awaken the joy of learning after exam pressure pushed one of his students to a breakdown. At least in part over his disdain for conventional course structure, Dr. Norman Cornett was dismissed by McGill University in 2007.
Host: Victor Gulewitsch
Victor is an anthropologist who teaches anthropology in the department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Guelph. He also acts as a research consultant to a number of Ontario First Nations on land claim issues and historical/anthropological research.
